“We’re extremely happy and we couldn’t ask for anything more. It’s all because of the fans. It’s you guys coming together for Cab Day and you guys making sure that we keep our heads up.” -Alex DeLeon’s interview with The Cab Day
Our interview with Alexander DeLeon for The Cab Day. Check it out, it’s worth a listen! He talks about The Cab Day, Crown, the next record, and much more.

The Cab Day Posters!
Since the very beginning, The Cab Day has been a social media campaign looking to reach out and convince people how great The Cab is. However, many of the people who call into radio stations to request songs aren’t constantly on twitter and tumblr. This year, we’ve made some printable The Cab Day posters promoting the band & Symphony Soldier with a scannable QR code leading to their facebook.
Soldiers, print a few of these out and post them on notice boards around your school or town. Hell, print out a ton and plaster your city with them if you want. Since The Cab Day is on a Sunday we wanted to make this a rolling project. You can do it tomorrow. You can do it Sunday. Do it three weeks from now. Make sure to take a picture with one you’ve put up and submit it to us or tweet it to @thecabday.
Download & print the full size poster here and reblog so we can get as many Symphony Soldiers involved as possible!

What is The Cab Day 2012?
That’s a very good question, Dave.
The Cab Day was started last year on April 29th, 2011, the third year anniversary of Whisper War. After such a long time, the fanbase wasn’t as active anymore, but the soldiers made a decision to come together and make a change. The purpose of that day was to show our appreciation for The Cab and to remind them that we still believed in them when their record label didn’t.
In the past year, they have done so much. They parted ways with Fueled By Ramen, they released the album that they wanted to release on their own, they’ve climbed the charts. We could not be more proud of them. The boys themselves have said it a million times, they wouldn’t be where they are today without us so this year, we’re going to keep on supporting them and celebrating all that they’ve done.
So, how do I get involved?
On April 29th, 2012 we need all soldiers to spread the word about Symphony Soldier. Wear your merch, be vocal! Post your favorite songs on Facebook. Superglue a beanie to your head. Whatever you can, we want everyone you know and their mothers to be listening to The Cab. Be sure to be following The Cab Day on tumblr and also twitter. To make sure you see everything, put us on mobile updates or track the “the cab day” tag on tumblr. We’ll be posting missions through out the day of things you can do. People you can tell. Things to post and tweet and ways to spread the word. Rumor has it that the band even is planning some ways to celebrate, so get involved!

TCD Countdown Challenge Day 1: The first The Cab song you ever heard
We wrote this challenge as a modified version of the The Cab 30 Day Challenge, so I’ll be lazy practical and use some of my post from that for the countdown.
There’s a slim chance that this wasn’t my first The Cab song but I like to call it so. A friend graduated in 2008, just a month after we’d become friends. She lived far away but we were incredibly close and clicked instantly. For her graduation party she made a music mix, and I downloaded every song and listened to it that night too. Vegas was in that mix, and it became somewhat of a symbol of that summer to me. I listened to it on repeat on the way to and from camp, and I’ve held it close ever since. I’m not friends with this girl anymore, but I owe her a lot regarding my musical taste.
